RE: how to only drop the bottom electric qoeen bed?

My Attitude has holes in the rails to put small pins in to hold the upper bed in place when you lower them.

RE: Stupid question of the month......

I went from a Ford SRW F350 to a dually. Rear axle for the SRW was 7K, tires to 7500 lbs. Dually is 10K, tires are about 11K capacity.

I don't understand what you mean by being unable to use it. I have Nav in mine and it works.

RE: How to flood your kitchen in the rain......

There's an easier way to flood it. Just leave the kitchen window open 2 inches while driving in a rain storm :B

RE: water inroute to randsburg

Adelanto RV park lets us dump and throw away trash... i'm sure they would allow water only fill up. Its west of 395 about 1/4 mile on Bellflower Road/Street. Head west at that stop sign on 395 and you'll see it.That stop sign is now a light

RE: eclipse stellar 34 ft 5er

We also have an Attitude. The wife and I love it. Had it out 3 times for up to a week, no real issues except for a couple of fit and finish items. Warranty service has taken care of them with no problems.

RE: air bags for F350 SRW

I didn't like the Airlift bags because I couldn't find a no-drill aplication for my truck. That's why I went with the Firestone Bags.

RE: air bags for F350 SRW

I put Firestone bags on my truck. Cheapest I found them was Summit Racing. Cost me $271 to my door for the basic kit, no drilling required except to mount the air fitting to the bumper. They're usually listed under air suspension instead of air bags.

RE: Ca. F-450 fees

That is such a rip off, and they wonder why people are moving out. I complain about what we pay about $54.50 a year and that is what I paid for my Chevy Kodiak 4500 also and I think thats to much. Heck they even charge $14.00 a year to tag my 5th wheel. Of course I don't have to renew the tags on our inclosed car trailer or our Gooseneck equipment trailer its a life time tag. I would be going after your local politician and vote them out of office. GBY...Interestingly, my trailer registration is only $10 for 5 years. I have the Permanent Trailer plates on it. Apparently, here in California, one can afford to own as many trailers as one likes, but gets raped on the truck to tow them with! What kind of trailer? My old open car hauler was permanent, but the ToyHauler isn't.

RE: Santa Barbara to Lukeville, AZ

I shall be leaving Santa Barbara around 20th November, driving a 23 foot class C and need to be in Lukeville, AR. I am only interested in the best and fastest route, no sightseeing this time, thanks for the help...
1. south on 101 to hwy. 126 , go east to I-5
2. south on I-5 to Hwy 210 go east to Hwy. 15
3. Go south on 15 to hwy. 10 go east
4. go east to just past Indio to Hwy 86 --go south to hwy. 8
5 go east on Hwy 8 to Hwy. 85 at Gila Bend, go south on 85 to the town of "Why", turn right , go south into Lukeville.
Be sure and fill up with Diesel at Gila Bend. Yep, the 210 now extends all the way to the I 10. It's paired up with the 30

Flying J, Thousand Palms CA

Does anyone know if they've changed this station since last year? I use my Visa check card for fuel, and had to use the regular car islands, which are atrocious for RV's. Same way in and out, no way to turn around with a large rig.

RE: 12000 lb bumper pull toy hauler-- white knuckle towing?

I towed my 33 foot Carson Carrera with my 06 F350, CC, 4X4, SRW with no issues. I scaled it at 15K fully loaded. Used an Equalizer hitch, no sway control, no issues ever, even in the crosswind on the 62 at the I 10 by Palm Springs.

RE: Now this is towing! Not for the faint of heart!

We often see them on single lane outback roads. When that happens we get off to the side ASAP. They can't stop and can't move over!!
Take note the bars on the front of all those trucks. A roo or dingo get out in front of ya, it's DONE. (not to mention the Holdens and Fords) They don't and can't stop for no one.And donkeys, cattle, etc. I spent this last June in the Northern Territory, about 210 miles south of Darwin. We were not allowed to drive the road between where we were and Darwin at night, due to the odds of running into a large animal.

RE: Broken wheel on trailer

Also check the weight rating of the wheel. It should be stamped on it. I had an alloy wheel break, then found out it wasn't rated to the axle capacity.

RE: I have a 2004 F350. How much toyhauler can I really tow?

Thanks to all of you for the advice. We finally made a decision this week and bought a Recon 37U. Yippeeeeeee!!! It took us 6 months plus to decide. After reading everyone's advice and doing some additional research, we decided to buy a new truck too. Our 2004 F350 just wasn't enough truck for the RVs we wanted to buy. Almost bought a 2008 F350 with the Tow Boss package. Those are rated to tow 18,700 pounds. More than enough for our 18,000 GVWR toyhauler. However, the truck we picked sold the day before we committed to it and that got me to thinking more about the 450. So more research and tomorrow we're driving up to the dealer to look at a 450 with 4.88 rear axles. Rated to tow 24,000 lbs, which is more than enough power to haul (and stop) our 18,000 lbs toy. We're looking forward to seeing more of this great country in style! Thanks again for all the help!Congrats on the THauler. Didn't mean to buy your truck out from under you ;)

RE: shore cord length?

My first time out in the 5th wheel, we found out the hard way that our trailer was longer than our cord. Parked in the space the way I should've been, the cord was too short. I now carry a 30 foot, 50amp extension cord, just in case.
